An Easy to Remember, Professional Looking Letter Written in Notepad

Posted on October 31, 2010August 25, 2012 by Shovas

So, I popped open Notepad and put the same components (to, from, opening, body, closing) vertically on the page. What results is a clear, concise, professional looking letter that can be written in Notepad, printed on whatever plain or letterhead paper you want, and looks as good as Word templates or other fancy online letter writers.

Defining Science

Posted on October 10, 2010 by Shovas

When people talk about science, they infer and imply many things. Best Quote Ever About DNA

Posted on September 20, 2010 by Shovas

One of my passions is biblical creation. Lately, I’ve been in a bedtime reading pattern of Creation Magazine, and then surfing Creation.com for random reading material to grow my grey matter, so to speak. I came across this quote tonight in a discussion thread about applying DNA’s compression techniques to our own computer compression algorithms…

Acer Liquid E Review

Posted on September 14, 2010September 12, 2010 by Shovas

For about 5 years now I’ve been using an old school Motorola V551 flip-phone. It worked as a phone, took a surprising amount of abuse, and didn’t do much else and didn’t do anything with any kind of style. So, I upgraded to the Acer Liquid E and I’ve been playing around with it for about a week now.

Fixing your car key fobs with a knife, scissors, elastic, paper and super glue!

Posted on September 12, 2010December 26, 2015 by Shovas

Update 2014-12-03: I have a new, better, simpler fix for this. Earlier this year the original solution I had stopped working. The problem is the electrical contacts (little circular pads for each button on the inside of the fob) were slowly disintegrating. You can tell because the black part is starting to wear through. While…
