Best Quote Ever About DNA

One of my passions is biblical creation. Lately, I’ve been in a bedtime reading pattern of Creation Magazine, and then surfing Creation.com for random reading material to grow my grey matter, so to speak. I came across this quote tonight in a discussion thread about applying DNA’s compression techniques to our own computer compression algorithms:

The human genome isn’t like 750MB of ******* high-level compiler-generated code. It’s more like 750MB of carefully crafted self-modifying code written by a Real Programmer of Old.

We’re all blown away by the complexities of nature. We use language, without even thinking, that is most clearly attributable to someone with intelligence – but we can’t admit there’s intelligence behind all of it.

If you’re going to give God a name concerning DNA, “Real Programmer of Old” pretty much fits the bill.
