This is why all the labels we have for “indigenous” or “first nations” are misleading, at best, and manipulate actual history: Aboriginal, native, autochthonous, endemic, original, etc. All poor choices. Better: Earlier Nations, Previous Peoples, etc. Go ahead. Fact check it.
