Been watching the G20 coverage on CBC and CP24 for the past few hours. From what I can tell the Black Bloc, a group of black-clad individuals, has been causing mayhem and violence. If this Black Bloc is giving the government an excuse to take away our freedom to protest then I propose a White Wall: A group of citizens acting against Black Bloc individuals to prevent their mayhem, to stop and apprehend and contain these individuals. In other words, good citizens acting against bad citizens.

Remember when we all thought cell phones were the bees knees?
History is going to look back at us and think we must have all been simple, uneducated serfs getting excited over shiny baubles.
Creation.com – A surprising link
Creation.com has a nifty little feature: A “surprise me” link. Try it out! If nothing on the front page interests you or you think you’ve seen it all, the surprise me feature usually comes up with something fascinating!
Firefox or Thunderbird unstable? Try starting a new profile.
I use Thunderbird and Firefox at work on CentOS 5 w/KDE 3.5. I’m a long time user and gradually I’ve come have a certain distaste for the instability I’ve been experiencing, progressively more and more, over the past few years. I’ve tried many times to find out what the instability is on google. One day as I was searching, I apparently found my answer: Start a new profile.
Most people believe what they hear most
Readers will know I talk about creation and evolution quite a bit. I also read Slashdot.org, which is populated by large numbers of well educated individuals from which, it appears, most do not have a Christian faith or up-bringing. I’ve come to realize something in my back-and-forths on slashdot about creation and evolution: People believe what they hear most.
Pride Toronto: The Christian Perspective
More and more, it is becoming very accepted, very common-place, and has become an event which people of all groups, even if they don’t identify with the Pride groups, will go to celebrate at events. Such a celebration, however, can not be joined by a Christian for one very simple reason: When all is said and done, Pride Toronto is an event celebrating sin.
Firefox is winning me back!
I wrote earlier about how Chrome was winning me over. Well, after a brief fling, I’m back to Firefox and I now find it not so bad.
Accidental Death in MMOs
I was a big fan of The Lord of the Rings Online and played for about a year and a half from ’97 to 99′ or so. As in many MMOs, there’s a certain amount of regard for players who can survive many levels without dying. On the other hand many players consider those players “care bears”, a derogatory term for someone who avoids danger to stay alive. One thing that has always bugged in me LOTRO is “real-life-happens accidental death”.
WordPress IP Blacklist not working? Remember .htaccess
Word to the wise: If you’re getting comment spam try Wordpress’ IP blacklist feature but, when that doesn’t work, try the guaranteed way: .htaccess.
How do you tag your media?
One of the big deals in web 2.0, as everyone knows, is tagging your media. We’ve resorted to tagging media because it more succinctly defines the content compared to a search engine defining content by pulling out keywords. I’ve been doing this blogging thing for a while now and I’m still not quite sure how to tag. Here are some of my principles of tagging that I use and the reason I feel it’s beneficial.
