Another point to be made here about literary credibility in the Bible

There is another point to be made here about literary credibility

Deuteronomy 3:23-28 is one of multiple instances where Moses blames his own people for God being angry with him and not letting him into the promised land when God gives him no slack on that and blames Moses, himself

This is a positive point for the authenticity of the Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament

Moses is described as the ‘most humble man in the world’ (Numbers 12:3) and yet arguably his pride and bitterness is on full display here multiple times

Scholars who consider literary and witness credibility look at occurrences that shine a negative light on itself and note that it lends to the credibility of the text

The Torah wasn’t just scripted and polished to be perfect

There is an honesty to the Old Testament that you can trust, quite unlike other sacred texts in other religions

The Holy Bible feels real because it is real, warts and all
